BethAnn & Will's Engagement Session

How cool it was… in many ways...

It was a really cool Sunday... it is supposed to be Spring, but yet here in Atlanta, we still have some chilly weather. However, that did not intimidate my awesome bride and groom who decided to go ahead with their planned outfits, look cool and pretend they were warm :) -- I am glad they did because they looked fabulously cool ;)

BethAnn is from Amelia Island and after graduating from College in Statesboro late last year; she is back in her hometown. While Will is in Statesboro still since he graduates in May. So they drove up here just for the session and in the meantime spent a nice weekend with Will’s parents who are up in Cumming.

We started off in the Roswell area and then moved into town. They were real troopers and not once did they complain that is was cold. They put their best faces on and had fun and played for the camera! I really enjoyed it guys and I can’t wait for your wedding in July. Amelia Island should be pretty warm then ;)

It was sooooo hard to rapidly pick just a few images fro the blog. So these are simply just a handful of images from the session…

Don't they look perfect?

The Dogwoods are just starting to bloom...

This is so romantic...

I love this moment!

Thanks for driving all the way here for your session and for being such good sports. You made it a great Sunday!

Jasmine & Roland - Party-Time!

Here is Part II of Roland & Jasmine's Wedding.

But make sure you do not miss the Wedding Highlights Slideshow.

Bride & Grom arived at their cockatil hour...

by the pool...

The reception started with the toast by the best man...

and a sweet slow dance by the bride & groom...
with some background "vocals" by the groom's "entourage"...

I love this image of Roland's mom during the mother-son dance.

And here is Jasmine's dad who sported a smile just like this one all night long :)

And Roland's grandmother was quite the partier too!
Jasmine was a bride that definitely enjoyed every minute of her party!

Did I mention these guys were a blast?

Thank you Roland & Jasmine for having Rich and I as your wedding photographers, it was an honor and a lot of fun to work with you, your family and friends.

I hope to see many comments below after you review the slideshow!

Cheers,

Heather & Brian - Engagement Session

I met Heather this past Sunday at the Georgia Bridal Fair and she lost no time in booking. We scheduled the engagement session right away because she and Brian are having their engagement party on April 18th and they wanted some images for their invite.

Brian went to Georgia tech so we decided to start at the Tech Campus. It was a gorgeous afternoon, and as the sun went down the light became nicer and nicer. I don't think I need to tell you much about them, just look at the images and see what a cool, fun couple they are!

They look gorgeous...

I love how much fun they have together...

It is so obvious they enjoy each other's company.

And they are really sweet.

And look very much in love :)

It was truly a fabulous session. I can't wait until their wedding day, almost a year from now!
Thank you very much Heather and Brian. And a very special thanks to Carla, who met Heather at the show with me and tag along for this session. It was fun (and helpful!) to have you there too!
And as usual, please don't be shy and leave comments below. I love to hear what people think of my images :)

Niece & Company

This past weekend we had a great visit. My eldest niece, Mariana (26), her boyfriend Norman and two close friends (Barbie & Leo), come through Atlanta from Argentina (where I am originally from) on their way to more exciting destinations :)

They stayed with us for three days while on their way to spend a week in NYC, after which Mariana and Norman are heading fro a week in London, and Barbie and Leo decided to move onto the warmer climate of the Dominican Republic.

I do not know that people get how important it is to me when my family or close friends visit me from Argentina. It is an opportunity to share with them my home, my things, my life here, my friends… to share what we do and how we are in a place that is so different from where we grew up. So it is always extremely important to take the time and spend it with them.

Thanks to a profession and clients that allowed me to be “gone” for a few days in the middle of a pretty busy time, I could take the time to show them all around. It was only three days, one of which I was doing my first ever Bridal Show (never a dull moment :) so we were non-stop as much as possible. I did not take the traditional touristy pictures (they took enough of those!), but below are a few so that you can all meet them.

My beautiful and very smart niece Mariana...
Mariana and Norman, her boyfriend.

The whole crowd on our front porch.
Best friends!

They wanted the typical US mailbox in their picture... (we do not have those in Argentina :)
The tight back seat :) -- Thank God my brother-in-law, Scott, lends us his SUV. Getting them back to the airport with the additional lugagge after the visit to the outlets would have been impossible in my poor old Camry!
At the Lake. We wanted to take them out sailing, but the weather did not cooperate...
The guys took a few minutes off at the club and hit the fusball :)
Norman did not know we would make them "pay" for their accomodations :) Here he is helping my husband Rich, load the cargo van to take all the stuff to the bridal show later than evening.

It was fantastic having them at home, and we can't wait to do it again. They were the perfect guests and we had tons of fun together!

Fort Lauderdale Vacation Rental

My husband Rich and I were in Ft. Lauderdale a few days ago. We were shooting Jasmine and Roland's wedding (see post below) in Sunny Isles and I love Ft. Lauderdale so we decided to stay there. We did not want to stay in a hotel, and after lots of searching online I came across FTL Vacation Rentals. I feel like a hit the Jackpot! Ken and Kevin, the owners are fabulous people that really care about their properties and their guests.

The unit we stayed in, a two bedroom-one bath duplex was just perfect. The minute I walked in I felt so happy to have picked that place to stay. The home was bright and cheerful, filled with small details that you never really find on vacation rental properties. Well stocked and with a total “at-home” feel. We both really loved staying there.

Of course, the photographer bug hits anywhere I go, so I took some images of the property we stayed at and of their other units as well.

Check out some of the images.

This was our wonderful unit...

It has a nice galley kitchen overlooking the side of the house...

And a nice big bedroom (this is actually the guest bedroom but I decided to sleep in this one.. don't ask me why, my husband did not get it, but it was just nice :)

The pictures below are from their other three untis...

If you are ever in South Florida, I highly recommend you stay at one of their units. You will be glad you did. Rich and I felt right at-home there!
Thanks Kevin & Ken... we hope to see you again soon :)
