Taylor is growing up...

This past weekend I photographed Taylor again. This is our third session within her first year of life. I love to see her grow and go from pushing up to a really fast crawler. And watch out mom & dad because she will be walking pretty soon!

You can see her earlier pictures in the April 2008 section of the blog... and below are a few from this last session.

Tell me if she is not a super happy girl! She was really smiley and made me laugh out loud!

Watch out, here I come! --can you see those little bottom teeth?

Taylor loves to read with daddy... although he has to read real fast because she likes to flip the pages fast, fast, fast!

And she likes to pick her own books too --check out her tip-toeing :)

This was an extra special session. Grangma, grandpa and great-grandma where visiting from out of town!

I love this moment between Taylor and great-grandma Marie!

This is what I call a handsome family - (and happy too! :)

I know I have said this before, but I truly love to see kids grow, families evolve. Just being a part of my client's lives, being allowed the honor to capture their family memories is such a joy for me and makes all the hard work so much more rewarding... thanks Rayne & Doug for your continued trust and support!

Beverly & Ray's Wedding

Beverly & Ray got married last Saturday, July 12th. at Peachtree Christian Church in Atlanta with a beautiful reception at Maggiano's in Buckhead.

It was a beautiful sunny day, just like they both wished for and Ray especially asked for the day before at their rehearsal.

Thank you, Beverly and Ray, for allowing me to document the beginning of your family history together. I hope to be a part of your lives for many years to come and to continue to capture your family memories.

I hope you had a fantastic time in the Bahamas!

Click Here for a link to a slideshow of some of your wedding images (and turn your speakers up :)

And below are just a few samples for a "quick fix" ;)

I invite your family and friends to leave comments below and continue their well wishes.

I especially want to thank Charlie Pappas who generously contributed his photographic talent to this event, and to Caitlin McLaughlin, who was my amazing assistant and also a photographer, who also contributed some of the images above.

Cheers,
Andrea.-

Jiya Zari

This is Jiya, well her tiny little feet...

I photographed her and her extended family just a few days ago. Wow, this was what I call a marathon session. But how fun and rewarding!

Now, let me tell you first how I met this family, because it is sort of fun. Here I am, a few weeks back, sitting in the endodontists chair -mouth open- getting a root canal done. Sounds fun already? Well, the amazing endodontist was Jiya's mom, Dr. Ritu Bath. I say amazing not lightly, considering I fell asleep while she was working on me! – Anyhow, looking at my file she sees that I am a photographer, asks about it, gets my website information and next thing, she is calling me to book a session!

And here we were, just a few days back, at her parent’s home in Roswell, with both her parents, her husband Biranj, his parents and one of his brothers, all around little Jiya, to capture the first professional images of their first baby. Oh, and I forgot, we also had there their little hairy kids too.

We mix and matched people and locations and created a diverse portfolio of images. As much as Jiya allowed us to. She actually was great considering how many people kept calling her name and demanding her attention and smiles J, and I think she looks beautiful too! But you be the judge to that.

Here are a few images that summarize the session… Enjoy!

Meet Jiya...

and her gorgeous mom & dad.

Here is the whole family :)

Check out those eyes!

I love this moment.

These are Biranj parents, who were visiting from Palm Beach, Florida.

And Jiya's uncle.

These are Ritu's parents (who I have a feeling spoil little Jiya to death! ;)

And this is the extended family.

I hope you enjoyed these images. I surely did.

And, by the way, this is where you can find Dr. Ritu Bath.

Baby Mac...

A few days ago I posted a teaser from the session with Mac... it is time for a few more selected images before mom & dad get their private gallery online.

Mac very much deserves his own Blog post!

I photographed his mom & dad's wedding last year...

And then this year... here they are, with their hands full!

Mac is a cute smiley boy that has the biggest eyes!

It was really fun to work with the family again. Mom & dad are not only sweet loving people, but they have a great sense of humor, so there is never a dull moment.

You are welcome to leave comments below. And thanks for continuing to suppoort my work and my blog.

Family Time

Last week, my husband and I spent 5 days in Chapel Hill, NC., visiting his sister, Rachel and her family. We got to spend time with our adorable niece and nephew, Mia & Sam.

Mia is now 7 and she is a bookworm. She loves to read, even joined a little book club for the summer! She is funny, she reads while she eats her snacks, slumped on the couch, in the car and of course when she goes to bed. She also loves to play games, which was a lot of fun for aunt Andrea since I love games too! And she is also a great kitchen helper.

Sam, on the other hand, is all boy! He is non-stop, running around and playing energetic games all the time. Sam is 4 years old. He loves swords and dragons and dinosaurs. He plays with a little friend of his, Charlie, and together they are dynamite! It is actually very fun to watch... although Sam can also be super mellow and lies on the couch with you and gives you a huge hug, as he gets older he is becoming more of a guy's-guy and prefers to hang out with uncle Rich.

Here are some images from our visit.

Ughrrr!!!

Sam has been spending a lot of time practicing this. He can now do 3 consecutive pull-ups!

Yeepee!

This is at the Swim Meet, go Sam!

This sweet girl is Mia.

She loves to pose, can you tell?

And can be a goofball at times too :)

Although this is her most common type of moment these days...
They are cute together too!

Two that I love from the Swim Meet
Mia, gasping for air.

Sam having an unusual quiet moment waiting for his race to finish.

I hope you enjoyed these... it was nice to spend some time with them (and their parents, who are not too bad either ;)

Lucy & Lili

This past Friday I photographed Lucy & Lily at their home in Decatur. I met the girls when they were babies and have been working with them ever since. I absolutely love to work with them. They are the happiest little girls; they always greet me with a bright smiley face and ready to play. It was so fun to see them again and see how big they are. They are talking non-stop and are too funny when they go, go and go. Their mom, Amy, is on of the most loving, caring women I have met and I feel just so privileged to be welcomed into their lives over and over again to capture their family memories… And dad Andrew is not bad either ;) – Working with people like them is really what having chosen this profession is all about!

It used to be easy to tell the girls apart… when they were babies, Lily had a birth mark in the back of her neck, then she started wearing glasses… but this time around, the birth mark has been long gone, the glasses were broken, and they look more alike than ever!

Here is my try at who is who, but Amy or Andrew, please correct me if I got them mixed up ;)

This is how they welcomed me... Cinderella and Miss America Bellerina... I just melted!
This is Lily.
And her favorite toy...

And this is Lucy.
Can you tell this is HER favorite toy?
Double Trouble!
Don't you just love those curls?
I hope you enjoyed these images... and please remember to leave comments below!
Thanks.
Andrea.-
